Why the project grew
A required passion project became a serious research question.
Alpha Kappa Psi requires members to complete a passion project. Formula 1 offered a natural starting point: a long-standing interest in the sport, family connection, and fascination with the business behind the racing.
The project quickly grew beyond the requirement into research on FIA financials, digital monetization, global expansion, travel costs, projections, and strategic recommendations.
Skills learned + what carried forward
The project strengthened research, financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic communication — especially the process of turning imperfect data and a broad interest into a structured, defensible argument.
